The Ploenchit Fair is coming home to the British Embassy in Bangkok on 24 November 2018

The British Community’s annual fund-raising blockbuster event for Thai charities will be held this year on Saturday 24th November 2018. The Ploenchit Fair is arguably the largest Fair in Thailand and is a traditional day for all the family. It has been one of the biggest events of the social calendar in Bangkok since it was first held in the British Embassy in 1957. Due to security concerns and space restraints, the fair was moved elsewhere in 2001. However, this year the Ploenchit Fair is coming home to the British Embassy. If you’ve never been before, make the most of it as the embassy grounds have been sold off and this might be your last chance to see the historic buildings. Everybody comes to the Ploenchit Fair – the theme is a traditional British fairground and it is a day to meet all your friends, pick up some fabulous bargains, sample great international cuisine, exhaust the children with a variety of funfair games and rides, or just knock back some champagne, cold beer or even Pimms while enjoying great bands who perform throughout the afternoon on the main stage.

Date: Saturday 24th November 2018
Venue: British Embassy in Bangkok
Open: 10.00 am –8.00 pm
Entrance fee: 500 Baht. Children under 12 years are free

All proceeds of the Fair are used to support charity requests and up to this year, the Foundation has raised over 70 million baht to assist these worthy causes.
