The other day I went on a day trip with my friend Chin to Phetchaburi and Samut Songkhram. Chin is a tour guide and the owner of Chili Paste Tour. She does private tours in Bangkok and around Thailand. The thing I like about her is her interaction with the local people along the way. She also goes out of her way to support them. On this day she invited me down to see her new kitchen in Samut Songkhram. We had a few stops along the way, mainly to buy ingredients for the dishes we were going to cook. These are the photos that I tweeted live during the day.

The first dish we’re cooking is Tom Yum Soup. All ingredients are fresh. We even made our own coconut milk & picked the lemon grass pic.twitter.com/RLR5JjkGUC— Richard Barrow in Thailand 🇹🇭 🇬🇧 (@RichardBarrow) October 5, 2016
The ingredients for making chilli jam (น้ำพริกเผา). We will add this to the Tom Yum soup. Everything bought locally or from the garden pic.twitter.com/CMWhBzdvTh— Richard Barrow in Thailand 🇹🇭 🇬🇧 (@RichardBarrow) October 5, 2016
