Picture of a Westerner Feeding a Homeless Man in Bangkok Re-Tweeted 450 times
This picture is not exactly breaking news, but it is interesting as it comes shortly after a similar event in China just last week. The headline for that story was “American a hero in China after giving homeless woman French fries” [see here]. All the college student did was give a homeless woman some French fries. But his act of kindness was captured on a digital camera and quickly spread online where he became an instant hero. This picture here was captured by a Thai woman in Bangkok [see here]. She wrote that she spotted this “farang” (Westerner) who had bought some food for a homeless man sitting in front of a 7-Eleven store. In this picture, you can see him feeding the homeless man with a spoon. She was so impressed that she took the picture and tweeted it. Within a short period, it had been re-tweeted more than 450 times.

Wouldn’t taking the photo without the person’s consent and knowledge and publishing it online be constituted violation of his privacy?
Most Thais look down or despise poor and homeless, yet, claim to be religious. This will rekindle their believe in helping the less unfortunate one. Great kindness to those whose extend their hands in helping these one!
