Map of Route the King will take from Siriraj Hospital to Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall

On the morning of Wednesday 5th December, His Majesty the King will make a public appearance on the balcony at Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall. His specially adapted vehicle will leave Siriraj Hospital at 10 a.m. The entire route will be closed to traffic which will allow him to arrive at the Royal Plaza by 10:19 a.m. It will then take about ten minutes to get his wheelchair out of the van and up to the balcony on the second floor. He is due to make an appearance there at 10:30 a.m. The curtains on the balcony will be pulled back and the throne, with HM The King upon it, will be pushed forward on wheels onto the balcony. The Crown Prince will be first to congratulate His Majesty on his birthday followed by the Prime Minister. The King is expected to give a birthday speech.

I have seen two maps showing the route that the King will take. In this one, the King will leave Siriaj Hospital and head north across Arun Ammarin Bridge to the intersection with Somdet Phra Pin Klao road. Here they will turn right and cross Pin Klao Bridge. They will then go along Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, past Democracy Monument, to Phan Fah Bridge. In this map they have him turning left onto Ratchadamnoen Road and going as far as Si Ayutthaya Road where they will turn right and then left onto Rama V Road. However, I think they won’t do this as I am sure that the people in the Royal Plaza wil spread all the way down Ratchadamnoen Nok road. In another map, they have him turning onto Nakhon Sawan road from Phan Fah Bridge, left on Phitsanulok road, and then right onto Rama V Road. On both maps, he will turn left onto Ratchawithi Road, go past Dusit Zoo, turn left on Uthong Nai Road, past Parliament and go all around the the front of Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall and enter through the main gate.
