The popular Concert in the Park returns in January at a new venue

The popular “Concert in the Park”, now in its 26th season, returns in the new year on Sunday 6th January 2019. However, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra has announced that they will no longer be playing in Lumpini Park. Instead, their new venue is at Chulalongkorn University Centenary Park in Phathum Wan district of Bangkok (see map). It’s a lovely location, but unlike Lumpini Park, it’s a bit of a hike from the Skytrain and metro. To walk there from either BTS National Stadium or MRT Sam Yan will take you about 15 minutes.

During January and February, there will be a total of eight three concerts which will start each time at 5:30pm. The dates are as follows:

  • Sunday 27 January 2019
  • Sunday 3 February 2019
  • Sunday 10 February 2019
  • Sunday 17 February 2019
  • Sunday 24 February 2019

      They just announced the first one 15th December 2019. I am about to post a new blog post with all of the dates.
