European Heritage Open House Days in Thailand on 15-16 September 2018
As part of the celebration of the ‘European Year of Cultural Heritage’, five embassies in Thailand will be opening up their premises to the public free of charge. This is a unique opportunity for the public to enjoy a guided visit of European Union Member States’ Ambassadorial Residences, discover European cultural heritage sites up close and learn about their history. The ‘European Heritage Open House Days’ will take place on the weekend of 15 – 16 September. The five embassies taking part are Belgium, France, Portugal, The Netherlands and the UK.

European Heritage Open Days take place in September every year in Europe. During this time, doors are opened to numerous monuments and sites, allowing Europe’s citizens to enjoy free visits and learn about their shared cultural heritage and encouraging them to become actively involved in the safeguard and enhancement of this heritage for present and future generations. Heritage Open Days are also held in other countries around the world. In Thailand, the French Embassy has opened the doors to the Ambassador’s Residence every year on the third weekend of September. For the first time this year, four other European embassies in Bangkok will also join them.

Hi i can’t find where to registry to visit the residence of the British ambassador. Could you please provide me the website for any advise please.
It’s on the “ukinthailand” Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ukinthailand/
Is this also open for non European citizens?
Yes, of course
How can we register for Belgium Ambasador house visit?
They say that registration isn’t needed. So, I’m just going to turn up on the day and hope for the best. Sadly looks like the Portugal one is already full. I’m still waiting to hear back from the British embassy.
This is an interesting post. Please note there is one significant mistake regarding the visit to the residence of the British ambassador:
The tour in the morning is for English speakers, while the tour in the afternoon is for Thai speakers. Please edit your post to show the correct information.
Thanks, though I did get that information from the European Union in Thailand Facebook page. I’m not 100% sure who is correct, but as the UK in Thailand Facebook page is saying that it is the English tour in the morning, I will switch it now. Thanks again.
I tried to register for the residence of the British ambassador. The registration page also says the English tour is in the morning. I think this must be correct. I notice you have edited the original post.
Yes, I have edited. Hopefully, the morning is correct as that is what I have registered for!
