Road Trip to Khorat in Lower Isaan
Recently, I went on a three-day road trip to Nakhon Ratchasima province in Northeastern Thailand. Locally, the main city is called Khorat. This is regarded as the gateway to lower Isaan. One of the main reasons for the trip was to attend the opening ceremony for the inaugural flights by NewGen airline from the Khorat city airport to Chiang Mai in the North and Phuket in the South. This now means that people don’t have to fly to these destinations via Bangkok any more.

Secret Art Garden in Pak Chong district of Nakhon Ratchasima. The owners have created a forest garden where art and nature blend harmoniously. Entrance is 100B which is a little steep for what is on offer. 20B is more realistic. Map: https://t.co/8jVe2DiIHq #Thailand pic.twitter.com/HXcKuJ5W5n
