This is a new kind of trip for me. For the past 18 years I have been blogging exclusively about life and travel in Thailand. Even on Twitter, 100% of my tweets from the past five years have been about Thailand. I never tweet about other countries. But, this all changed when Nok Airlines invited me on a three day media trip to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. This is a new route for them which started on 1st October. In December, they will start flying from Bangkok to Hanoi. The following photos are from day 1 of our trip which I tweeted live.

Very interesting reading and pictures of Ho Chi Minh. I have been to Thailand a couple of times, and always found it fun, and also a slower pace to most countries in Asia. Also in the North of Thailand the cost of living is very reasonable as you well know. I’ve been invited to visit a friend in Nha Trang and know a little about the city, but if you have been there, could you please write a word or two as to how you would compare it to similar size cities in Thailand; especially as to the cost of living, overall enjoyment, and life in general to Thailand.
