During the recent public holiday, I joined the train trip to the sunflower fields in Saraburi. These take place every year during December at the weekend and on the King’s birthday and Constitution Day. They are very popular and so you need to book your tickets at the station in advance. There were still some tickets left when I started tweeting, but they were completely sold out by the end of the day. So, if you still want to go, you will have to wait for next year. Unless you have your own car. The following are some of the pictures I tweeted during the day.
The only sunflower train trips left with seats are on 20 & 27 Dec. Round trip is 270 Baht. Call 1690 (Pic @johnbkk9) http://t.co/tJvUQglV0j— Richard Barrow in Thailand 🇹🇭 🇬🇧 (@RichardBarrow) December 10, 2014

If you’re hoping to take the sunflower train this year I’m afraid you are too late. I just heard it’s fully booked pic.twitter.com/zlyAvR4SDu— Richard Barrow in Thailand 🇹🇭 🇬🇧 (@RichardBarrow) December 10, 2014
I hope you enjoyed all my pictures from today. If you don’t have a car then the train trips are the easiest way to go. But now all full.— Richard Barrow in Thailand 🇹🇭 🇬🇧 (@RichardBarrow) December 10, 2014
