Globally speaking:
77% of all accidents happen within 15miles from the home.

52% of accidents happen within 5 miles from Home.

And Australian Stats are here:
http://www.calculateme.com/car-insurance-articles/where-accidents-happen.htm
And the average speed that most car accidents happen at are less than 30 mph, according to this website:
http://www.chacha.com/question/what-is-the-average-speed-that-most-car-accidents-happen-at
So, its statistically safer to be in my teens and to down a few before getting into the pickup truck and driving like a bat out of hell into the sunset.
Or in other words, if 39.95% of accidents are caused by driving drunk and 22.9% by speeding, then to use the phrasing above, “MOST accidents are caused by sober driving” AND “MOST accidents are caused by NOT speeding”…
Hmmm…
As have been the rule the last years, the number of fatalities according to these official statistics are lower than the day-to-day death rate on Thai roads as reported by independent organisations. They aren’t even much higher than the normal official Thai statistics. Me thinks the numbers are pure BS.
Can you give me a source for that?
