The new British Ambassador to Thailand is Mark Kent. If you are on Twitter you can follow him at @KentBKK where he is very active. Mark Kent joined the FCO in 1987 and has spent most of his career working in South East Asia and Latin America, and with the European Union. He has language qualifications in Thai, Vietnamese, Spanish, Dutch, French and Portuguese. This is a picture of the ambassador learning Thai. According to @nuthatai, who tweeted this picture, the ambassador likes practising his Thai by listening to the news in Thai and watching football with Thai commentary.
