Next Bangkok Car Free Sunday Event is on 24 June
One of the events that I always look forward to is the Bangkok Car Free Sunday activity. The next one has just been announced on the Facebook Page of Bangkok Bicycle Campaign. They will be organizing a free cycle tour on Sunday 24th June 2012. Each event they take us to different areas of Bangkok where local guides give us an insight into that particular area. For this month, they say that they will take us to explore the culturally-rich neighborhood of Nimmarnnoradee in Bangkhae area (นิมมานรดี บางแค). Click for a Google Map of Wat Nimmanoradee. Apparently there is a riverside market there too. I will post more information on ThaiTravelBlogs.com as soon as they release it. And of course you will be able to follow me live on the day on Twitter @RichardBarrow.

I just noticed that the Bangkok Post has a small piece on this activity.
I’ll be going so if you go, don’t forget to say hello!
Never join before, may I ask a few questions please?
1. Will this fit for 8yr kid?
2. Can we have the whole route, so we can cut in, in case the whole trip too long?
3. Where should I follow this event? Diff to find and too little ad?!
You must understand this is not a professional tour. It is a group of enthusiasts coming together to put on this activity. Not many people will speak English and there is a real possibility that you might get lost. The last one I went on, I was the only foreigner. I will post something soon over at thaitravelblogs.com – I will need to translate what they have published so far.
