Liverpool FC's 2015 pre-season tour will begin in Thailand this summer after it was announced today that the Reds will return to Bangkok in July.
Two years on from a successful visit to the capital city, Brendan Rodgers' side will again run out at the Rajamangala Stadium in front of thousands of passionate local fans.
The True Thai Premier League All Stars will provide the opposition for Liverpool's first preparation game ahead of the new campaign, on Tuesday July 14.
A sixth visit to Bangkok marks the start of a tour that also includes much-anticipated trips to Brisbane, Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur for the Reds.
“With so many Liverpool fans in Thailand, the opportunity to play in the country is fantastic and the team are really looking forward to it,” said midfielder Joe Allen.
“The reception the club received during the 2013 visit was unbelievable and I am looking forward to experiencing that passion and delivering some great football.”
As well as a full Liverpool squad, the touring party will include legends Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush – plus Liverpool FC Foundation coaching staff – to carry out work in the community and take part in official supporters' club events.
