Every year during Visakha Bucha, thousands of people in Chiang Mai make merit by climbing to the top of Doi Suthep. I was there this time to take photos of this festival. Click for photos from Day 1 and Day 2 of my trip to Chiang Mai with iTravel Channel. On the last day we had a trip to Doi Inthanon. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't kind to us and we didn't do everything that we had planned. The following are the photos I tweeted live.
Good morning from the Shangri-la Hotel in Chiang Mai. This is my third & last day. Top temperature expected to be 37C pic.twitter.com/1qZwS8vK5l— Richard Barrow in Thailand (@RichardBarrow) June 2, 2015
We’re driving to the top of Doi Inthanon. Lovely climate here, but with the low cloud, we probably won’t get a view pic.twitter.com/j5VQXBnEps— Richard Barrow in Thailand (@RichardBarrow) June 2, 2015
Today it’s very cool at 17C on Doi Inthanon despite it being summer. In the winter months it can drop to below zero pic.twitter.com/tPCO1FveMU— Richard Barrow in Thailand (@RichardBarrow) June 2, 2015
