New Market to be Built in Bangkok to Rival Chatuchak

The BMA has announced that they will build an outdoor market on the outskirts of western Bangkok that will rival Chatuchak. The project is located on Soi Petchkasem 69 in Bang Bon district. The market is in a park that covers an area of 122 rai and has been leased from the Crown Property Bureau for 30 years. The name in Thai is “ตลาดนัดสวนจำปี” and in English it will probably be “Market Green Clean Park”. It is expected to open towards the end of 2013.
