600 Cobras Seized from a Pick-Up Truck

Members of the media had an impromptu snake show this afternoon when customs officials held a press conference with 600 cobras. The snakes, with an estimated street value of 500,000 Baht, were seized from a pick-up truck in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Authorities had received a tip-off that a large shipment of snakes was coming from Malaysia and were heading to a third country via the northeast of Thailand.
