Day 1 of Trip to Khon Kaen to see the dinosaurs

Over the period of two days, I’m in Khon Kaen province in Northeastern Thailand. The aim of the trip is to promote the dinosaur heritage of the region as well as some new and relatively unseen attractions. Apparently, as many as nine dinosaurs have been discovered in Thailand that haven’t been seen elsewhere. This means that Thais get to choose the name. On the first day I visited Phuwiang Dinosaur Museum, but there are five others in Thailand. Another one is due to open in Surat Thani soon. These photos were tweeted live during my trip.

    Hi Richard,
I visited the dinosaur sights in April including the phu wiang national park. I wasn´t able to see the footprints and bones so close, because the buildings with it inside were closed. How did you get inside there and is the laboratory open for everybody?

I was able to enjoy the view points in phu wiang but not the waterfalls. Is it right that the waterfalls only have water during rainy season or did I just not find them?

    Greetings Georg

I had special access to the lab and also the building containing the dinosaur bones. As for the waterfall, best time to visit is May to October.

Sorry, the King died and I didn’t think it was a good idea to post. I will do now.
