Day Trip to Ban Sakhla in Samut Prakan
On Saturday I visited Ban Sakhla in Samut Prakan for their annual temple festival. This isolated community is surrounded by shrimp and crab farms. There is only one road in and out. Most local people still get around by boat though new roads are being built. If you decide to visit Ban Sakhla, then you might be the only foreigner there. As the temple fair was all day, I also did a side trip to Phra Chulachomklao Fort and Ban Khun Samut Chin. You can find out more about places to visit in Samut Prakan on my website paknam.com. The following photos were tweeted live during the day on @RichardBarrow.
