One of the best times of year for festivals is Khao Phansa which marks the start of the three month long Buddhist Lent. This takes place on the full moon during July. This year I'm on a 5 day trip to Northeastern Thailand with TAT Isaan to take pictures of the festival in Surin and Ubon Ratchathani. Visit Thailand Photo Map for details on the places we are visiting. I tweeted the following pictures live during the day.
First stop on the road trip is Surin which is 430km Northeast of Bangkok. Surin’s Khao Phansa festival starts tonight pic.twitter.com/oqUviMf0Xj— Richard Barrow in Thailand 🇹🇭 🇬🇧 (@RichardBarrow) July 29, 2015
