Cancer Care Charity Fun Run in Lumpini Park on 1st November

Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok is organizing its 21st Cancer Care Charity Fun Run in Lumpini Park on Saturday 1st November 2014 in association with the Thai Red Cross Society. Proceeds from the Run will go towards research projects currently conducted by the Hematological Cancer Research Centre and the Genetic Cancer Research Center at Chulalongkorn Hospital.

Partnering with Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok and the Thai Red Cross Society on this event will be Minor International, the Embassy of Canada to Thailand (The Ambassador is pictured above), The Coffee Club, Dairy Queen, Malee, Santa Fe Relocation Services and Singha Corporation, as well as media partners Bangkok Post, Hello (Thailand), Prestige (Thailand) and Masala Magazine. For the past 20 years, Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok has held charity runs to raise funds for cancer research. In conjunction with sister properties Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, last year’s run successfully raised 3.5 million Baht, which was donated to the Hematological Cancer Research Center.

Beginning and ending inside Lumpini Park, the Run promises to be a fun and enjoyable Saturday outing for joggers and non-joggers alike. And there’s no compulsion to run – participants are welcome to complete the course at their own pace, and may simply enjoy a stroll if they so prefer. Both the 5-kilometre and 10-kilometre routes are perfect for running or walking, and the Queen’s Trophy will be awarded to the largest group participating in the run. In addition, activities are lined up for children with prizes to be won, and further prizes await participants who reach the finish line. Registration is from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., and the official starting time is 8:05 am.

Participants are invited to join the run with a minimum donation of 350 Baht, representing the cost of an official Cancer Care t-shirt, or 500 Baht, representing the cost of an official Cancer Care polo shirt. The participation fee also includes a breakfast box and the chance to win prizes including accommodation vouchers for stays at Four Seasons hotels and resorts around the world.
