Fitbit Flex wireless activity and sleep wristband

Wearable devices are becoming more popular these days and it’s great that we are now getting a wider choice of devices from different brands with some good prices. For the last four months I have been using UP by Jawbone (see my first look blog here). I have been very happy with this as it has encouraged me to be more active. I have used free pedometer apps before but gave up after a few days. Wearable devices are with you all the time and constantly remind you to remain active in order to reach your daily goals. There are other devices out there which you can also buy which is why I want to share with you this press release about the Fitbit Flex.

Ban Leong Chin Inter Co Ltd has introduced Fitbit Flex, the wireless activity and sleep wristband from the United States. This slim, stylish device is with you all the time. Water resistant, it can even be worn in the shower. During the day it tracks steps, distance, and calories burned. At night, it tracks your sleep quality and wakes you silently in the morning. Just check out the lights to see how you stack up against your personal goal. It’s the motivation you need to get out and be more active.

Fitbit Flex is a perfectly wireless device with Bluetooth 4.0 technology to sync all graphic information of your activities daily on a dashboard for iOS and Android smartphones. Fitbit Social Community will allow you to see your friends’ competitive step rankings. You can also add new friends from your contact list, approve incoming friend requests, or remove friends. You can send and receive cheers, taunts, and messages from your friends.

Product Price: 3,990 baht (Vat included)
Available at: iStudio by Copperwired, iStudio by SPVi, iStudio by Uficon, Dot Life, Power Buy, True Shop, Siam TV.

The price is cheaper than the UP 24 by Jawbone which is about 6,000 Baht. If you are using the Fitbit Flex already, please let me know about your experience in the comments below. I will be doing another review of the UP by Jawbone soon. Later this year, Apple could be bringing out an iWatch which I guess will do all of this and more. So, interesting times ahead. Always good to have choice.

I have the Fitbit One and love it. Accurate and inspiring. I can also insert it in a sleep wristband and can audit my sleeping patterns. It uploads data directly to my phone – I don’t go anywhere without it. Friends love the wristband version but decided I didn’t want something so obvious! Mine clips nicely to my clothing and goes un-noticed by anyone but me!!!!
