GrabTaxi offers new premium car ride with GrabCar

GrabTaxi, a popular taxi booking mobile app has officially launched its latest service, GrabCar; a premium service that enables users to book a limousine through their smartphones. GrabCar operates on the same mobile application platform as GrabTaxi, enabling customers the choice of booking taxis or limousine services in Bangkok.

“What has ensured GrabTaxi’s success in Thailand has been the ability to address our users’ need to book a safe, metered taxi ride with convenience,” says GrabTaxi Thailand Director, Juthasree Kuvinichkul. “We have always been listening to our customers’ feedback to improve the ride experience and that’s why we are introducing GrabCar. GrabCar will give our passengers that upmarket, personalized experience, while at the same time, ensuring safe and reliable rides.”

To make a booking, passengers select “GrabCar” as their “car type” in the GrabTaxi app. They will receive the estimated fare of their journey prior to confirming their GrabCar booking and payment is in cash. GrabCar is also the only mobile app booking service in Bangkok to offer advanced bookings – passengers may book a premium car up to 2 hours and no more than 7 days in advance, which is especially popular for rides to the airport.
