This week I will be going on two different food tours of Bangkok. If you have tried either of these tour companies can you please post in the comments. Also let me know if you have been on any other food tour of Bangkok. As usual, I will be live tweeting on these tours which you can follow on @RichardBarrow.

UPDATE: Later in the year, I did a Food and Culture walk with Chili Paste Tour in Bangkok. Click here to see the blog.

Taste of Thailand Food Tour

The first one is hosted by Taste of Thailand. I will be joining them for their “Bites and Sites in the Village of Love” tour on Thursday morning. They promise an “amazingly delicious good time”. The starting point is at BTS Saphan Taksin station and the tour lasts about 3.5-4 hours. The Village of Love is the Bang Rak district of Bangkok which is famous for its culinary delights. They told me to arrive hungry as I will be tasting 15 distinct foods and beverages. You can see more pictures of their tours on their Facebook page.

Bangkok Food Tour

My second food tour is with Bangkok Food Tours. I will be joining them on Saturday. They also do a food tour of Bang Rak district which I did a few years ago. This time round I will be joining them for their “Chinatown Foodie Walk & Culture Tour”. This one is a night tour that starts at 6 p.m. The meeting point is MRT Hua Lamphong station. The tour lasts about 3.5 hours. They say that during the tour we will taste local cuisine from “7 famous eateries, varied from street food vendors to renowned fine dining restaurants”. We will also visit religious and cultural landmarks. They have more pictures on their Facebook page.
