Buying the Sony HDR-AS15 in Bangkok, Thailand

Sony Thailand has recently announced the launch of the Sony HDR-AS15, an ultra-compact Full HD video camera for extreme sports and point-of-view shooting. Key features include:

• 16MP Exmor ‘R’ CMOS Sensor
• Full HD 1080 (30p) HD 720 (60p, 120p)
• Steadyshot Image Stabilisation
• Built-in WiFi
• 170 degree Wide Angle Carl Zeiss lens
• Waterproof to 60m/ 197ft with supplied housing

More information can be found on Sony Thailand’s website. The price in Thailand is 9,990 Baht. There is also a special promotion package with extras that is 11,990 Baht. This price and the first two videos below come from the Ninja-Thailand.com forum. He said that he bought at AV Value in MBK, Bangkok. I am sure they also have elsewhere like Pantip Plaza and Fortune Town in Bangkok. According to the Sony Thailand press release, they are selling it at Sony Store showroom, selected Sony Center and King Power Duty Free shops.
