Become a Wine Expert! No Prior Knowledge Required, Only A Passion For Wine! The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (UK) comes to Thailand. For the first time, this course is available to the public.

Session 1 (19 Feb)– Introduction to Wine Tasting/Storage/Food & Wine Matching
Session 2 (21 Feb)- Factors Influencing the Style of Wine/Understanding the Label
Session 3 (26 Feb)– Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
Session 4 (28 Feb)– Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Sauvignon Blanc
Session 5 (5 Mar)– Shiraz/Syrah, Grenache & Riesling
Session 6 (7 Mar)– Italy, Spain & Portugal
Session 7 (11 Mar)– Champagne, Sparkling & Sweet Wines
Session 8 (13 Mar)– Fortified Wines, Spirits & Liqueurs
Session 9 (18 Mar)– Certified Examination (50 Multiple Choice Questions)

This course is certified by the WSET (UK) and is part of the UK Education system. All courses will be taught in English by Ross Edward Marks, Vice-President for Wines, Spirits and Beer for Central Food Retail and the former Wine Director for the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel, New York and the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. Mr. Marks has taught over 200 professionals at this level in Thailand already and is now offering this to the public for the first time.

Each session will include a minimum of 10 wines (over 100 in total for the class).

Tuition covers the cost of the teaching materials, books, examination and all wines.

All classes will be held at the Okura Prestige Hotel (Wireless and Ploenchit Roads)

Cost per person is B18,000 net.

For Early Registration from 1-7 February, a discounted rate of 14,900 is offered. 13,900 if you are a Bangkok Post subscriber.

    Too bad the dates are spread out, why couldn’t it be done consecutively?
