Shop Signs: Better Late than Never

spellingmistake

It is always surprising when big companies spend lots of money on advertising, be it billboards or in magazines, but they don’t bother asking a qualified person to spellcheck it. But, I guess it doesn’t matter if the master copy is correct as the person doing the typesetting cannot always read or spell English. Often you will see a “c” instead of an “e” as they look much the same to someone who cannot spell. At least in this case the shop owner tried to do something about it by adding an “r”. I guess better late than never.

Amusing, but not as amusing as tattoos with spelling mistakes. Especially when tattooed in English by someone who speaks English on someone who also speaks English. There really is no excuse for that.
