Royal Thai Armed Forces Day is on 18 January

Today in Thailand it is Royal Thai Armed Forces Day. This commemorates the victory of King Naresuan the Great in a battle against the Vice-King of Burma in 1593. The armed forces will take part in combined ceremonies and parades today.

18 January is also Royal Thai Army Day. 9 April is Royal Thai Air Force Day. 20 November is Royal Thai Navy Day. 13 October is Royal Thai Police Day.
