Instructions in Thai/English for Using a Lift

It may seem obvious to you and I about how to use a lift, but not everyone got the memo. For most lifts there are only two buttons. One pointing up and the other pointing down. To me it’s obvious that you push “up” if you want to go up. But, so many times I have caught a lift at my school and it has stopped at a floor for one of the dinner ladies who wants to go down. I can only guess that as she saw the lift on the ground floor that she thought that she needed to press “up” to make it come up and pick her up. Hopefully we will see more of these signs being posted on lifts.

This sign was spotted at Bangkok Hospital by Mario Hennenberger and posted on his Facebook page.
