Cheap Food and Drinks at Don Mueang Airport

One of the biggest complaints about airports is that everything is so expensive. That often goes for duty free as well. Some good news for the newly re-opened Don Mueang airport in Bangkok is that there is apparently a 7-Eleven store flight-side with regular prices. So, instead of having to buy a bottle of water for 30 Baht, you can get it for 7 Baht at the convenience store like you can outside. According to @soyoso, the store is near Gate 31. Here is his original tweet in Thai:

RT @soyoso: ดอนเมืองมี 7-11 เปิดอยู่ด้านในใกล้เกท 31 ที่สำคัญ ราคาปกติ และมีขายทุกอย่าง ไม่ต้องซื้อน้ำขวดละ 30 ด้านนอกนะ

At Don Meuang there used to be a ran thammada for Thai food down near the train station too. You had to take that walkway that went through to the five star hotel then go downstairs halfway across. Cheap pre-flight meal.
Still haven’t found anything like that at Suvarnabhumi.

Suvarnabhumi is the same now, has a Family Mart at near where u check in, and also a 7-11 on ground floor near the way to the trains.
I just wish they would have a Mcdonalds(big mac meal 170bht) as the Burger King is so expensive.(about 300bht for same sort of meal)

Burger King at the airport has prices that are exactly 2 times higher than those at BK outlets in the city. McDonalds would be the same if they opened, it’s due to King Power (i.e. Newin & co) monopoly on all retail in the airport.
