    I tried to buy 10-20 of this special 80 baht note, but it sold out so fast, I was told by the bankers in Chiang Mai at every place I tried, it was sold out in 3-4 hours…I see they are now being sold on the secondary market for B160 and up… this still may be a good investment even at that price as the population is rather small.

    Where will you be able to purchase the 80 baht note?

      Go to your local bank or a shop that sells stamps/banknotes will have it for sure. But bank will be cheaper.

    Both are commemmorative (It’s clear about the 80 baht one, but perhaps not as clear for the 100 baht note).

      Yes, for their birthday anniversary, though as the one for the Crown Prince is sold at face value, it will be used as normal and not just kept as a souvenir. They are printing 10 million copies so it will probably be around for a while.
