Sukhothai

Sukhothai Historical Park

For as long as I can remember, one of my favourite hobbies has been photography. I love taking pictures and I guess that is one of the reasons I have stayed so long in Asia. Everywhere you look is often a visual delight. I can easily take 400 pictures whenever I go somewhere at the weekend. I literally have tens of thousands of pictures though I only ever use a handful of pictures at a time on the websites. And I have hardly ever printed anything out. Over the weekend, we were working hard installing some new software for the Paknam Web Thailand Forums. We decided that we would launch a Thailand Photo Album for our members. The idea was for them to share with us their pictures of holidays in Thailand. Although we only launched at the weekend, the response so far has been very good. I have not only been impressed with the photography, but also the more unusual pictures which are provoking discussions. I have also certainly been inspired to visit some new places in Thailand. If you are planning a trip to Thailand or would like to upload a few of your own pictures then please do visit our photo album.

My next project is to now do a  photoalbum website of highlights of all my trips. It may take a while to upload all of my Thai photos, but hopefully the end result will be of interest to some people. I will let you know here when it is ready.

I have never been to Sukhothai. The photo you posted is so neat. I like it. The Buddha really represents the art of that period. I don't think that you make me homesick, but you really did a great job in reminding me of my own country.
