Watch the classic movie Cleopatra on the big screen in Bangkok

The Scala movie theater in Siam Square in Bangkok will be bringing the movie classic Cleopatra to the big screen during January 2018. The movie, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, was the highest grossing film of the year when it was released in 1963. The movie will be screened in Bangkok on Sunday 14th January 2018 at 12:00pm. Tickets cost only 100 Baht and will be available from the box office from 1st January. The Scala theater is the last remaining standalone single-screen cinema in Thailand. The theater has 900 seats and is undoubtedly the best place to experience classic movies from the past.

Cleopatra is a 1963 American epic historical drama film chronicling the struggles of Cleopatra VII, the young Queen of Egypt, to resist the imperial ambitions of Rome. It was directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, with a screenplay adapted by Mankiewicz, Ranald MacDougall and Sidney Buchman from a book by Carlo Maria Franzero. The film stars Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Roddy McDowall, and Martin Landau.

Not too often, maybe once a month or so. And yes, they have shown all of those movies and more. Click here for the movies shown earlier this year.
