I'm in Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand to take photos of the Visakha Bucha celebrations. This day marks the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha. The night before, thousands of people climbed to the top of Doi Suthep. The journey along the road took them four hours (click here for tweets from Day 1). Today's highlights were the Chiang Mai Zoo and the Night Safari. The following are the pictures I tweeted live during the day.
