The Mall Group will soon be making Thai retail history with the launch of its “The EM District” in the heart of Sukhumvit with what they hope will become a world-class commercial hub and tourist destination. The project is so massive that there has even been rumours that BTS Phrom Phong will be re-named as “BTS EM District”. The EM District comprises of three world-class projects: The Emporium, The EmQuartier, and The EmSphere. It has a total project area of 650,000 sq.m. and is located on a 50-rai plot of land adjacent to Benjasiri Park.

The EM District carries over 1,000 world-class Thai and international brands, shops, luxury fashion labels, technology, lifestyle, living and dining facilities. Several flagship stores under the latest concept, with the size ranging from 300 to 2,000 sq.m., are being introduced to Thailand for the first time. Furthermore, it provides the largest dining and hang-out spot for Thai and foreign customers. These projects also incorporate luxury apartment, hip hotel, office and entertainment complex, which will elevate Sukhumvit to a powerful district and attract shoppers and tourists from around the world.

    Yes, Bangkok needs another shopping mall and not a park.

      Well, if you want to spend billions of Baht and then open a park for people to use for free then please do go ahead! 🙂
