OTOP Train Trip to Kanchanaburi

Over the weekend, I joined a train trip organized by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). This year they are running six OTOP Train trips that each run for two days. The price of the trip includes transportation, snacks & drinks, all meals and accommodation. I had great fun though I think these trips are more designed for the domestic market than foreign tourists.

Thanks for the article Richard. It looks a bit of a ‘set up’ with the train painted for the event, but may try it one day if schedules align.

They are special air-conditioned carriages used for special excursions. They are like that all the time. I think the next one is to Ayutthaya for two days.
