Mark Kent, the British Ambassador to Thailand, announced to the media yesterday that he has just started blogging again. He had previously blogged when he was ambassador to Vietnam but he had stopped about four years ago. Since then he has been more active on Twitter at @KentBKK. He says he will now update both his Twitter account and his new blog. He makes a point of saying that the blog will contain his personal thoughts and views and it won’t necessarily match those of the British government. “I will do my best to explain UK policy”, says Mark Kent on his blog. “My focus will obviously be on Thailand and its relations with the UK.”  In his first blog, which is in both English and Thai, he gives some background information about his life.
