New Premium UK Package for Thai Expat TV Subscribers

New Premium UK Package for Thai Expat TV Subscribers

The traditional way of watching television has always been live, at the same time as everyone else. Programs usually start on the hour or half hour to make it easier to remember. But, if you are like me, you sometimes come back home late or get distracted with something else and miss the start of your favourite programme. Then came catch-up TV that allowed you to watch what you want, when you want.  This is where ThaiExpatTV comes in. They have a service which allows you to watch UK TV on the Internet. You can watch “live” but the best thing is that it has seven days on demand. This means you can watch last night’s prime time TV at a time convenient to you. I particularly like it for watching the news channels. It doesn’t matter if it is already 10:06 pm or 11:17 pm, I can timeshift in order to watch from the top of the hour so I can get all the headlines.

There are now two different packages that you can subscribe to with ThaiExpatTV. The Standard UK Package has 19 free to air channels while the Premium UK Package has 32 free channels from the UK.

Until 31 August 2014, there is a special offer for people to get the Premium package for three months for only 1,999 Baht. If you are an existing subscriber, if you upgrade you will get the additional channels for the outstanding months you have left AND the additional three months. For example, if you still have four months left on your package, you will get a total of seven months if you buy this three month upgrade.

To buy any of these packages, visit  ThaiExpatTV and click on “Buy Now”. To get the three month upgrade, click on Premium package and choose the 2,580 Baht quarterly option. Click on “checkout” and then in the Promotional Code box enter “PREMIUM”. The total is then reduced to 1,999 Baht. You can also buy the Android box and get three months premium content for 6,499 Baht (enter the promo code ANDROID3) or the Android box with twelve months premium content for 9,999 Baht (enter the promo code ANDROID12). On the website, you can click on the link for the free trial. That way you can test to see if your Internet is fast enough. I find with at least 3MB you can watch without any buffering.

I’ve been using this service for several years now and I watch literally every day. As I can also watch on my iPad and iPhone it is good to watch while out and about. The Android box is also small enough for you to take on holiday. If you have fast WiFi in your room you can watch all of these channels with seven days on demand instead of what your hotel has to offer. It also doesn’t matter if you go abroad. You can use  ThaiExpatTV  in Asia – Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, and Kuala Lumpur. Also available in Australia, New Zealand and the UAE.
