Too hot to walk, public transport is jam packed. Consequence is to take a taxi.

Its fine to take a taxi, or drive or whatever people need to do to get where they need to go, but what does the promotion have to do with Earth Day?

How is taking a taxi saving fuel or reducing emissions? Fine to promote taxi business but what does it have to do with Earth Day? Take public transport. Then walk.

My experience is very mixed. Drivers never read instructions like to go to residence and not to hotel. Or they simply go to Conrad Hotel which is also hotel & residence but not on Ruamrudee. Unless I have a Thai speaker at hand it is impossible to communicate with drivers = lack of language on either side. Or no taxi can be found but one shows up anyway while I have flagged one down. Or the app tells me “5 mins* when the driver is stuck in traffic at Asoke and I wait at Ploenchit. 20 mins later he is still at Nana. 20 other taxis drove by :(.
Unless Grabtaxi preset locations become more detailed, I will keep to the old ways – flag a passing one down.
