Good Tip for Bangkok Taxis
One of the first things I do after getting in a taxi, after making sure the meter is on, is to take a picture of the license plate on the inside back door. Some people do this for security reasons. I have seen them tweet a picture like this. But I do it just in case I leave something behind and I need to find the taxi driver again.
What about you, do you have any useful tips?
My tip: don’t do that in Phuket. You may get shot.
Even if you have the plate number, it’s not guaranteed the driver can be tracked down. Our GrabTaxi app provides you with full driver details and your ride details, so that you or our CS can directly contact the GrabTaxi driver. Drivers also have your phone number and can contact you. We had a grateful passenger who got his iPhone 5s back after leaving it in the backseat of a GrabTaxi- our CS called the driver, who immediately found his phone and safely delivered it to him:)
