Unofficial Prices of iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c at MBK in Bangkok

The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c is not expected to be officially released in Thailand until the end of the year. However, as usual, places like MBK will be selling them on the grey market. This could be as early as Friday evening but more likely by Saturday or Sunday. Please note, if you buy an iPhone on the grey market this weekend, you are not only paying a lot more than official prices but also there won’t be any warranty. If something goes wrong with it, you would need to fly to Singapore or Hong Kong to have it repaired.

You can reserve an iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c now at MBK. These are the prices I got from one shop and as you will see, it varies a little to the chart above by @flashfly –

Hi, is there any chance for bying a fake Iphone5s at MBK if it works on Intunes and will it have warranty in Norway? If I put in my providers simcard from Norway when testing it at MBK, and it works, will it also work when back in Norway? The price for a Iphone5S 32Gb in gold was yesterday 28.000 Bath

Hi, I’d like to know how much MBK would buy the 32GB IPhone 5C from me for if I go in November. I got it as a gift but still using my old I5s which I’m already happy with.

Any warranty? Not much I’m afraid as the official release in Thailand is next week and there will no longer be a need for a premium price.

I thought this iPhone 5C was going to be the cheaper version? They’re taking the mickey this time. Meanwhile, the 4S, which is a very good phone, is 14,900 from the official Apple store.

5C is cheaper for those tied to a carrier. These are unlocked versions brought abroad and flown here. If you want cheaper than this, then wait for official release in Thailand at the end of the year.
