As part of the celebration of 180 years of Thai-US relations, the world famous Yale Whiffenpoofs will be singing in Bangkok on Saturday 20th July 2013. There will be two performances at Central World at 1 p.m. and at 4 p.m. This will take place in Central Court on the ground floor. The performance is free of charge. While you are there, take a look at some of the 180 photographs taken by Thai and American photographers. The photo exhibition is open until Sunday before it moves to Chiang Mai.
Every year, 14 senior Yale men are selected to be in the Whiffenpoof’s, the world’s oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in 1909, the “Whiffs” began as a senior quartet that met for weekly concerts at Mory’s Temple Bar, the famous Yale tavern. Today, the group has become one of Yale’s most celebrated traditions and one of the most revered musical ensembles in the world.
