Public Holidays in Thailand During July 2013

During July 2013 in Thailand there is one long holiday weekend. On Monday 22nd July 2013 it is Asanha Bucha Day ( อาสาฬหบูชา) and Tuesday 23rd July it is Khao Phansa (วันเข้าพรรษา). This means that 20-23 July 2013 is a four day weekend. Asanha Bucha Day celebrates  the Buddha’s first sermon. The next day, Khao Phansa, is the first day of the three month long Rains Retreat. This is sometimes translated as Buddhist Lent. In August, there is a public holiday for the Queen’s Birthday on Monday 12th August.

Very sure, the 22nd and 23rd of July will be dry days.
    Incl. “bar closures”.
