The First 7-Eleven in Thailand Opened on 1 June 1989
The very first 7-Eleven store opened in Thailand on 1 June 1989 on Patpong Road in Bangkok. These days there seems to be convenience stores on every corner in Thailand. In fact, at the end of 2012, there were 12,246 stores nationwide with 7-Eleven operating about 69% of these. At the moment they have about 7,000 stores with plans to open another 550 this year. By 2018, it is estimated that there will be 10,000 7-Eleven stores in Thailand.

I like 7-Eleven stores in Thailand, fair price, clean and well maintained with auto doors. Malaysian ones really suck with unsrupulous prices.
They are clean, consistent, and convenient, especially for paying bills. However, 7-Eleven are run by CP All, owned by one of the richest men in Thailand. For this reason, I choose to help the mom & pop shops whenever I can. CP All could use all the help they can get because their stock is at a 1-year low after making a very pricey offer to buy the Makro stores here.
you called the convenience stores but i called thai modern grocery . many product in 7-11 are small size customer buy average per bill just 60 bath 7-11 sell product same type traditional grocery
7-eleven in Thailand are very well stock and with interesting goods unlike in Malaysia.
