Superhero Rescues Damsel in Distress on Bangkok’s Streets

This isn’t something that you expect to see every day on the streets of Bangkok. It looks like a damsel in distress has been captured by some nasty H2O villains. But help is at hand in the shape of a superhero. This scene unfolded at a set of traffic lights in Bangkok and was tweeted by @sebastianocc. Unfortunately he didn’t say whether the damsel was rescued in the end. Nor did he say what it was really all about.

After seeing these character in another picture posted on Facebook today, I now understand it was all an advertising gimmick for a new store opening at Central Ladprao. According to their website, “Fortron Automatic Transmission & Power Steering Concentrate is specifically formulated for the wide variety of transmission and power steering types prevalent in the Australian and South East Asian markets.” Mystery solved.
