Fake iPhones and Taser Flashlights in Thailand

At markets in Thailand you can just about buy anything. I spotted these two items at Hat Lek market on the Thai-Cambodian border in Khlong Yai district of Trat. The first item are taser stun guns disguised as flashlights. These are selling from about 300 Baht each. Also on sale are fake iPhones which you can buy for about 1,500 Baht. These run on Android.

Well, if you are not interested then don’t follow my blogs. It’s that simple đŸ™‚

Talking about fake iPhones, do they really sell at MBK for 1,500B? Didn’t see any the last time I checked. And do they sell tasers disguised as flashlights?

The China-iPhones which ran on Java used to cost only 800-900 Baht in Vientiane.
Not sure about the Android versions.

Having said that, a 7 inch Android is great for watching movies while on the run. And, at the 1,500Baht price-mark, you’d shed no tears if it breaks, or gets stolen. It also allows you to check your emails via WiFi, and a decent size to look at Google Maps.

If your Android is GPS-enabled, do check out MapDroyd, which is free to download, works offline, and you only download the maps which you need.

1500 baht for a smartphone that runs on Android is a good deal if China made.
