Bangkok Songkran Parade 2013
This year I decided to do something different. I’ve been covering Songkran and other festivals in Samut Prakan for many years and I have started to get bored with doing the same thing every year. And so this year I decided to check out Bangkok’s Songkran Parade which took place today. Although I got a few good pictures, it wasn’t as impressive as I thought it might be. It was rather small. I had this impression that it was going to be much larger. Even our Samut Prakan Parade is much bigger than this one. But, I had fun today cycling around Bangkok and enjoying new experiences.
Exactly what I thought. I was in Chiang Mai for Loi Krathong and somehow I expected something of the same scale here in Bangkok for Songkran. I mean, it is the most important festival and a far bigger city…
