Schedule and Map for Bangkok Songkran Parade

The annual Songkran Parade will take place in Bangkok on Friday 12th April 2013. The gathering point is in front of the National Museum at the Northwestern side of Sanam Luang at 7 a.m. The parade will start promptly at 8 a.m. and head south across the Chao Phraya River to Wongwian Yai roundabout. It will stop here at 10 a.m. Next it will head West and North and cross the river on the Pinklao Bridge where it will stop at Santichaiprakarn Park at 1 p.m. From here it will go a short distance to Chana Songkram Police Station where it will stop at 2 p.m.  The final destination is the City Hall Plaza where it is due to arrive at 2 p.m. From 12-15 April, there will be cultural performances and music shows at the City Hall Plaza. Local products from Bangkok’s 50 districts will be sold at the event. For live updates, please follow me on @RichardBarrow.
