US Team Check Security at Government House ahead of Obama’s Visit
President Obama is expected to arrive in Bangkok this Sunday. In preparation for this visit, US security personnel, looking more like tourists in black suits, were spotted at Government House today checking out the security of the buildings. Hopefully they already know how easy it is for protesters to take over Government House. In my picture below taken in 2008, the Yellow Shirt protesters were camped out on the front lawn for so long, that they had time to grow and harvest at least one crop of rice!
I see how they are already getting accustomed to the way locals are taking pictures with their iPads/tablets. Still looks silly though. With these suits and serious facial expressions they should probably use Google Glasses instead (Matrix-style)
