Riot Police at Protest Rally

At one point I was able to go behind police lines and take these pictures of the security forces. The police at the back were all wearing gas masks waiting to be deployed. In the picture above, the blue vehicle to the left is the water gun truck and the one to the right is the sound gun. I didn’t see them using the water gun, other than a short spurt, but I was there when they used the sound gun. I didn’t realise what it was at first. I just thought that one of the speakers on the protesters’ truck had malfunctioned. They load these trucks up with giant speakers and the sound can be unbearable. I saw some people blocking their ears with their fingers. It didn’t really bother me. Either my hearing is going or the sound gun is only effective if its pointing directly at you.
