One of the most popular cartoons among Thai kids is Doraemon which is a Japanese creation. Doraemon is a cat-like robot that travelled from the future in a time machine. Apparently this year is the 100th anniversary of Doraemon’s pre-birth. Meaning that Doraemon is due to be born in 2112. As part of this celebration, Thailand Post are releasing a set of stamps featuring Doraemon. The complete set is valued at 750 Baht and is due to be released on 18 October 2012.

I got the date from the Thailand Post website. It is possible they are wrong. I will be going to the post office later today and I will check for you.
I just checked and my local post office doesn’t know about it too. I re-checked the original information on the Thailand Post website and it does talk about buying at the Book Fair this week at Queen Sirikit. If I can find out further information I will let you know. I might go there on Sunday.
